This is my current project, its still needs to be complete, however i thought a small preview was in order. I came up with the idea a few days ago and so I'm at the stage where i will decide chapter outlines, plot formation etc. This is the first draft of the prologue. Ashort snippet ready to be reviewed.
Warning: This text contains unpleasant description and frequent mention of blood. Enjoy!
Blood dripping through the clear surface, staining the white tiles. The drops splashing and disintegrating into more puddles pooling at the four corners of the table. The steady splash of it enough to entice me and keep me in a trance, broken slighlty by the lowest of moans. My eyes closed as I imagined where the sound emerged from. Silence. Too quiet, seems the vessel had been silenced, but wait there it was again, the stirring in the winds almost like breath of fresh air.
I chuckled at the absurd notion, in the many years that had been here, there had never been fresh air just fresh bodies. Vibrant in their youth, their aura alive and full of energy.Argh! I sighed inwardly, letting the pleasure of the first meeting consume me so that all of the other thoughts were second to that array of emotion I had experienced in that first encounter. That blissfully surpirse encounter that had changed me in such a way, that even if I wanted to I could no longer be my former self.
I shuddered as I remembered my past self, such a pitiful creature worthy of only scorn, laughable but that encounter had changed me, given me a second chance. An opening into a new life. A new chapter. I opened my eyes and glanced down, immediately that frenzy of emotion welled up inside me! A furious battle threatening to overpower everything- my mind, my body and lastly my soul. Like a waterfall gushing down, the emotions cascaded and weighted down on me. Like multiple bullets that peirced my ears, tearing into my flesh and posioning my blood.I couldn't take it anymore. I shook my head and hissed vehemently.
"ARGHHHH!" I let out a bloodcurdling scream that damaged the ears of the victim who lay below me on the gurney. Flash of red, glint of sliver and in went the hunters knife, plunging deeper and deeper until it could not wade in any further. Total collision of metal on bone, the bones in her ribcage had actaully haltered it! The knife now so far thrusted in her chest that she no longer screamed in terror, instead she lay there frozen, her eyes glazed over looking like glass marbles. That sullen dead look, not until i had locked eyes with her's did i realise that it was all over, for now.
Picking up the hunters knife, I set about the task of polishing my most prized posession- my collection of hunters knives which had been so badly stained with blood since the hunt began. After I had cleaned up, I returned to my prey and gazed down at her. In death, she was a beauty! Gossamer blonde hair that cascaded down her shoulders. So pale that she made the night sky suddenly come alight with her shiny glow. Her skin as soft as silk, so smooth it bruised my lips. I was thirsty and my head ached with hunger, hunger for her. Hunger for her blood.
The bloodlust rose up inside me and I embraced it, let that side of me take reign, take control. My hands reached out to touch her cheek,so cold despite the warmth of the flames.I pressed my lips to her neck kissing it ever so slightly, a mere brush of my lips. The first touch was explosive and now before i could stop myself, that frenzy overrided my rationality and my moral compass was forced to step aside, as my mouth enveloped the soft curve of her neck, reminding me of the stern of a boat, arched back gracefully. The sofest of prickling and then in that one solitary moment i teared flesh and tasted blood. Gushing down, so much slippage and I drank! My mouth so full of this delicious elixir, so ripe and sweet, like a ravaged beast i was ravenous for more.
